Abundance: The Future Is Better Than You Think

When you hear something that inspires you, you want to share it with the world. Peter Diamandis presented a talk on abundance at Ted.com and really gives one pause to re-think where we are heading and inspires one to action. In a world where there are so many headlines in the news that proliferate the concept that life is getting worse, it is refreshing to hear another perspective from this true visionary. Onstage at TED2012, Peter Diamandis makes a case for optimism — that we’ll invent, innovate and create ways to solve the challenges that loom over us. “I’m not saying we don’t have our set of problems; we surely do. But ultimately, we knock them down.”

Peter Diamandis is the founder and chair of the X Prize Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is simply “to bring about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.” By offering a big cash prize for a specific accomplishment, the X Prize stimulates competition and excitement around some of the planet’s most important goals. Diamandis is also co-founder and chairman of Singularity University which runs Exponential Technologies Executive and Graduate Student Programs.
